This is the bike that everybody wants right now! The legendary Yamaha RD 350 LC.
Every time I test ride one of these wonderful machines, I come back into the workshop with a big smile on my face! These bikes are easy to manage, tractable and have perfect manners around town.
But open the taps and it hits between 6000 and 7000 rpm and is a different beast altogether. These things really fly, are super sweet and handle brilliantly.
No wonder the one make elsie race series was such a hit!
This particular example is in outstanding condition. Of course being a genuine RD350 4L0 machine, with matching numbers, it is as far as I can see entirely correct.
As you can see from the photographs, the bike has had a top end rebuild with rebore. Naturally, the bike runs super smoothly and is very quiet mechanically. Having covered just 371 miles since this work was completed the machine still needs to be treated gently for another couple of hundred miles I would suggest.
